Reporting protocols
Active scene reporting
Stay behind cordon tape at all times. Drone use within 500 m of an active scene requires prior written approval. Do not broadcast tactical positions live.
Naming victims & minors
Victim names are withheld for 24 hours pending family notification. Minors are never named, photographed, or identifiably described.
On / off the record
Every conversation with an officer is on the record unless agreed otherwise in advance. Background briefings are available on request before scheduled operations.
Press accreditation
Annual press cards are issued free of charge to journalists employed by a registered outlet. Apply through the foreign media liaison or your bureau chief.
Latest releases
Statements, briefings, and approved imagery from recent operations are published on our press feed.
